Application
Please read all Terms and Conditions carefully before buying training courses or accessing or downloading any resources from this website.
Interpretation of terms
Service means the SquarePeg Training products and resources or other services available for purchase on or from this website.
Contract for Services means the booking form sent by SquarePeg Training following confirmation that the customer wishes to book training. This sets out details of the training to be provided and the basis upon which it will be delivered.
We or us or our means SquarePeg Training Ltd., a company limited by Guarantee in Scotland (Company No. SC815412).
Website means the whole or any part of the website operated by us and located at www.squarepegtraining.co.uk or any subsequent URL which may replace it.
You or yours means a party that uses the website to purchase a service either as an individual or representative of an organisation.
Delegate means an individual or representative scheduled by the customer to attend training.
Customer means the person or organisation who buys the training from SquarePeg Training.
Intellectual Property means a set of intangible assets including trademarks, patents and copyright that are not physical. Intellectual property is owned and legally protected from use or implementation by a customer without consent. Intellectual property infringement occurs when a third party engages in the unauthorised use of the asset.
Organisation booking means training provided by SquarePeg Training for sole attendance by their staff.
In-house means training delivered at the site of the contracting organisation (i.e. not online) or at a venue provided by SquarePeg Training.
Online means training delivered via Microsoft Teams or another video conferencing system at the discretion of SquarePeg Training.
Training means the training to be supplied by SquarePeg Training to the customer as described in the booking process.
Next date applies if there is a cancellation or change, see below for conditions. This is only available in the same delivery format, i.e. a change cannot be requested from an online to in-person course. If the next date is unsuitable, one further date will be offered after which further no subsequent offers will be made.
Substitute participant means if you are unable to attend you may, in some circumstances, nominate a colleague to take your place (see below for conditions), SquarePeg Training should be notified as soon as possible. This applies whether you are applying as an individual attendee or as part of an organisational booking.
Training materials means any documents, resources or materials provided by SquarePeg Training.
Conditions of Purchase
These terms and conditions apply when the customer completes the online booking process or upon receipt of an electronic or hard copy of the contract for services signed by the customer at which point these terms and conditions shall be deemed incorporated into the contract for services.
Your order will be fulfilled by the estimated delivery date set out in the order confirmation, unless there is an event outside our control. If we are unable to meet the estimated delivery date because of an event outside our control, we will contact you with a revised estimated delivery date.
Where training is being delivered at its premises, the customer (organisation) should provide SquarePeg Training with access, training space and any equipment necessary for the delivery of the Training, with confirmation of this provided in advance.
Fee
Online payment is required by the customer at the time of booking for individual attendees.
For organisations, any invoice or bank transfer request must be paid within 30 days to a bank account provided on the invoice by SquarePeg Training. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the appropriate purchase order, service level agreement, or similar, is issued to SquarePeg Training.
Failure by the customer to pay the requested fees within 30 days may (at the discretion of SquarePeg Training) result in the training being withdrawn.
All pricing on the website is, unless otherwise indicated, in pounds sterling.
Training Cancellation and Changes
Delegates booked for in-house training delivery booked by their employer (whether online or face to face) may transfer their booking to a colleague and should notify SquarePeg Training and their employer. If a place is cancelled then no alternative date will be offered.
If a staff member attends training contracted in-house by their employer and is unable to complete the full day due to unforeseen circumstances, no refund will be made. No substitute participant is permitted after the course has begun and the next day clause will not be applied.
If a refund is approved by SquarePeg Training, it will only be made through the original mode of payment.
If SquarePeg Training cancels a confirmed booking, no refund is due so long as, we have made a reasonable offer to you to rearrange the provision of the services. If no such offer has been made, then you are entitled to a full refund of any fees paid.
Equipment and Belongings
SquarePeg Training is not liable for loss or damage to your equipment or other belongings, nor those of delegates, howsoever caused.
Health and Safety
Responsibility for health and safety of you and other delegates remains with you throughout. For example, if training is provided at a workplace or local venue then the contracting organisation is responsible for a risk assessment relating to both the location at which the services are to be provided and to the provision of the services.
Your Representations
By requesting or purchasing any service from SquarePeg Training, you are confirming that:
- you have full authority and capacity to enter into a contract.
- the information you provide to us when placing your order is up-to-date, accurate and is sufficient for us to fulfil your order.
- you will promptly update any changes to your your contact information for accuracy.
- the password given to you, or delegates from your organisation, for the purposes of accessing any part of the website will be kept secure secure against unauthorised access and will not be shared.
- you, and delegates from your organisation, will check emails regularly to ensure that email from SquarePeg has not been filtered into ‘junk’ or ‘spam’. Delegates should ensure that their email box has an adequate amount of space to receive messages and a course link from SquarePeg Training.
Personal Information and Privacy
We will observe all applicable data protection laws and any information submitted by you to us as part of your order for the service on this website, that does or can be used to personally identify you (“Personal Data”) will be used by us in relation to your order. We may keep records of orders received by us and any acknowledgements, acceptances and other contract records for a reasonable period.
Events Outside Our Control
SquarePeg Training will have no liability to the customer under the agreement if we are prevented or delayed in performing our obligations, or from carrying out business due to events beyond our reasonable control. This includes, without limitation, strikes, lock-outs or other industrial action by third parties, fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic, pandemic or other natural disaster, or failure of public or private telecommunications or videoconferencing networks, or impossibility of the use of railways, shipping, aircraft, motor transport or other means of public or private transport.
Intellectual Property
SquarePeg Training retain intellectual property rights in all of the materials and/or documents which are made available to you and/or any delegates as part of the training. This excludes Andrew’s Cards which is copyright to the University of Stirling. No reproductions, scans or copies (wholly or in part) shall be made of any training material without the prior written consent of SquarePeg Training unless otherwise explicitly stated on the website.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
The construction, validity and performance of these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by Scottish Law and by purchasing services on this website you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts.

Our website contains links to websites owned and operated by third parties. If you use these links, you leave our website. Any links are provided for your information and convenience only and are not an endorsement of the content of such linked websites or third parties. SquarePeg Training has no control over the contents of any linked website and is not responsible for these websites or their content or availability. SquarePeg Training makes no warranties or representations, express or implied about such linked websites, the third parties they are owned and operated by, the information contained on them or quality of their products or services. SquarePeg Training accepts no liability for any damage or loss, however caused, in connection with the use of or reliance on any information, material, products or services contained on or accessed through any such linked website.
